A New Alien Movie Is Coming Out Later This Year
Director Fede Álvarez returns to try and save a classic franchise

It’s finally time!
It’s been ages since a new Alien movie came out.
The previous movie was Alien: Covenant, which came out in 2017. It was the sixth installment in the sci-fi horror franchise.
The movie received mixed to positive reviews. It wasn’t as memorable as Prometheus (2012), but both were prequels to the first Alien (1979) movie.
This might all sound confusing at first, but there is a chronological order to watching these films.
This movie takes place 20 years after the original, so we’re finally getting a new sequel! Interquel?
FYI, Alien Isolation which takes place after the first Alien, is a video game, and it's incredible and canon!
You play Amanda Ripley, the daughter of the original character, Ellen Ripley.
The director was heavily inspired by the video game.
