Alien: Romulus
The best Alien movie since Aliens
Finally!
A worthy sequel, no-wait prequel, erm, interquel, whatever it is, it's a breath of fresh air and what this franchise needed, holy Jesus.
No one can hear you scream in space, but over here on Earth, I’ve been screaming my head off with these horrendous Alien movies that have been coming out.
Alien: Covenant was so bad that a new Alien movie came out seven years later, lol.
Prometheus was an intriguing concept film as it delved into the lore of the Xenomorphs and the Engineers, but it did so in a peculiar and less satisfactory manner. Too much was happening, but it kept the franchise alive just enough.
The rest of the sequels were equally bad. I would say maybe some were okayish, entertaining watches. Alien 3 (Directed by one of the greats, David Fincher) is considered a cult classic. For a 90s movie, sure, it had its moments.
Aliens (1986) is the greatest of them all. The legendary James Cameron directed the perfect sequel, upping the stakes and introducing us to some badass space marines and futuristic weaponry.
Finally, we have Alien (1979), directed by the one and only Ridley Scott. It’s like “Jaws” in space and introduces us to our first horrifying chest-burster scene.
Anyway, enough of that recap; let's get on with the review.
There is much to discuss and spoil.

It was a nice blend of horror, action, and sci-fi. It was everything I would want in an Alien movie. We had androids, new and old. Our android friend from the first movie returns for this one ( sort of), as usual, looking out for what's best for the company, the infamous Weyland-Yutani. An android with the likeness of the late great Ian Holm, they used both practical (real-life actor and animatronic head) and CGI to bring the character back to life. A newer android model is introduced, Andy, who the excellent David Jonsson plays. He…
