I agree with you entirely. There is no 100% good or evil when it comes to humans. Not everything is always black and white; there are also gray areas to explore. We see it every day on the news. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is showing us, day by day, that not everything is as black and white as it seems. The Us vs. Them narrative can get quite out of hand. Ordinary people can do monstrous things when it comes down to this battle. Once a population is convinced, and even at times lied to, that there is an enemy that must defeated, that population will start becoming more jingoistic and allow whatever atrocity to unfold to get the win. Monsters are everywhere, and we sometimes wear metaphorical masks to hide our true selves. Thanks for sharing these great steps to follow!
